Interpreting the chart[edit]
You can quickly see where the effort in this project or stream of work has been spent and the focus in the future. In the 'bubble chart' view each bubble represents a PBI. The colour is the state and the size is proportional to the estimated effort.
In the chart below:
This the time dimension, showing iterations. This shows the work that has already been done, the current iteration and future plans.
The area paths or Tags are shown along the top. This is the business or stakeholder perspective on the backlog. It clearly shows where the focus of effort is in this product development
You can quickly see only those items in a given state by selecting the state button. The colour of the button corresponds to the colours in the chart
Toggle between this view and the one below, which shows each individual PBI
Use this to toggle between tags and area paths
