Introduction

We regularly update SenseAdapt and the latest builds are available for you to download from our downloads directory which is made available to you when you become a customer.

Approach

The best approach for trying out our latest builds if you are an on-Premise SenseAdapt customer is to set up two websites on the same SenseAdapt Server. The new site can be setup on a different port or be setup with a different host header and called the Test SenseAdapt Website.

The workflow for accepting a new build into your organisation could be.

• Keep a backup copy of your previous build
• Install the latest build onto your Test SenseAdapt Website
  • Copy the visualisation.config back into the folder from your backup
  • Copy the NLOG.config folder back into the folder from your backup
  • Copy the personalisation.db from your app_data folder into the App_Data folder
• Encourage users to try both SenseAdapt sites side by side to evaluate the new build
• Once the build has been accepted by your users you can then promote the new build to your production environment.
